The College of Education for Humanities, in Cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, Organizes a Scientific Course Entitled “Modern Teaching Methods and Strategies and Their Role in Stimulating Thinking”

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Geography at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific course entitled “Modern Teaching Methods and Strategies and Their Role in Stimulating Thinking” for the period April 21–22, 2026.

The course aimed to highlight the most prominent modern teaching methods and strategies and to demonstrate their effective role in developing students’ thinking skills, particularly critical and creative thinking, thereby contributing to improving the quality of the educational process and its outcomes.

The course addressed several key themes, including active learning strategies, cooperative learning, and the use of modern technologies in education, in addition to methods of motivating students to actively participate in the classroom. It also emphasized the role of the instructor in guiding the educational process toward building students’ abilities in analysis, inference, and problem-solving.
