The College of Education for Humanities, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, Holds a Scientific Seminar Entitled (“The Parables of the Holy Qur’an and Their Impact on Reforming the Individual and Society”)

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Arabic Language at the college, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, held a scientific seminar entitled (“The Parables of the Holy Qur’an and Their Impact on Reforming the Individual and Society”) on Monday, 23/2/2026.

The seminar, chaired by Professor Abdulwahab Hussein, Professor Munir Mohammed, and Professor Hassan Ismail, aimed to highlight the significance of parables in the Holy Qur’an as an eloquent rhetorical method that combines brevity with depth of meaning, contributing to the reinforcement of faith-based and moral values within the individual. It also sought to emphasize the educational and social dimensions of Qur’anic parables and their role in guiding human behavior and promoting the principles of justice, solidarity, and tolerance within society.

The seminar included an analytical presentation of selected Qur’anic parables, examining their rhetorical styles and intellectual implications, and demonstrating their impact on building both individual and collective awareness. Furthermore, it stressed the importance of employing these parables in contemporary educational and guidance discourse.
