The Scientific Affairs Division, in Cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division at the College of Education for Humanities, Organizes an Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Smoking

Under the directives of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Scientific Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, organized an extensive awareness campaign aimed at reducing the risks associated with smoking. The campaign was held under the slogan: “The Scourge of Smoking and Its Negative Impact on the Individual and Society.”

The campaign sought to promote health awareness among students and staff regarding the severe harms caused by all forms of smoking. This was achieved through awareness lectures highlighting the health, social, and economic dangers of smoking, in addition to discussing practical methods of prevention and strategies for quitting.

The campaign also included the distribution of posters and informational brochures throughout the college corridors, featuring verified medical information, warnings about the hazards of secondhand smoke, and health guidelines to assist smokers in taking effective steps toward cessation.

This initiative comes as part of the college’s ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy and safe academic environment and enhancing students’ awareness, in line with the university’s broader efforts to support health and awareness programs on campus.

The Dean’s Office of the College of Education for Humanities, represented by Prof. Imad Hamid Ahmed, extends its appreciation to the Scientific Affairs Division and the Media and Government Communication Division for organizing such meaningful and impactful awareness campaigns, wishing them continued success and dedication.
