The College of Education for Humanities, in Cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, Organizes a Scientific Seminar Entitled “Standardized Achievement Tests and Their Practical Applications”

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of History at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific seminar on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, entitled “Standardized Achievement Tests and Their Practical Applications.”

The seminar, delivered by Lecturer Dr. Luay Kareem Lateef, aimed to introduce the concept of standardized achievement tests and highlight their importance in accurately and objectively measuring students’ academic performance. It also addressed the scientific foundations and criteria underlying their construction, as well as the mechanisms of their implementation in educational institutions.

Furthermore, the seminar presented practical models of such tests and discussed ways to employ them in improving the educational process and enhancing its outcomes, thereby contributing to raising students’ academic standards and strengthening teaching effectiveness.
