College of Education for Human Sciences, in Cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, Holds a Scientific Course Entitled “The Impact of Certain Classroom Practices of the Teacher on the Study of History: The Crusades as a Case Study”

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of History, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, held a scientific course entitled “The Impact of Certain Classroom Practices of the Teacher on the Study of History: The Crusades as a Case Study” during the period 29–30 December 2025.

The course aimed to highlight the importance of the educational and instructional role of the teacher within the classroom, and to demonstrate the impact of modern teaching practices and methods on enhancing students’ understanding of history, particularly the topic of the Crusades. This contributes to the development of students’ critical and analytical thinking skills and to improving the outcomes of the educational process. The course also sought to discuss best classroom practices that help present historical information in a sound academic manner and link historical events to their political and social contexts.
